WJC Vice President Nina Ofner Bokan Appointed Advisor to Speaker of Parliament in Montenegro

PODGORICA, Montenegro – Nina Ofner Bokan, Vice President of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) and President of the Jewish Community of Montenegro, has been appointed as an advisor to Andrija Mandić, Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro.

The appointment was confirmed during a session of the Parliament’s Administrative Committee, which voted in favor of Ofner Bokan’s nomination.

In her role as President of the Jewish Community of Montenegro, Ofner Bokan has led efforts to strengthen Jewish communal life, promote interfaith dialogue, and advance Holocaust education throughout the country. Her appointment is emblematic of the constructive relationship between Montenegro’s Jewish community and the country’s governing institutions.

As a WJC Vice President, Ofner Bokan represents Montenegro within the global framework of the World Jewish Congress, contributing to international efforts to combat antisemitism, preserve Jewish heritage, and foster understanding among communities worldwide.
