The European Association for the Preservation and Promotion
of Jewish Culture and Heritage (AEPJ), in partnership with the World Jewish
Congress (WJC) and the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), will launch the
Thrive Project’s International Jewish Heritage Hub via an online webinar on 4 February
2026.
The event will feature keynote speaker Carsten Wilke, a
professor at Central European University and director of the university’s
Centre for Religious Studies, who will explore how Jewish heritage crosses
cultural borders and how people engage with their Jewish identities through emotional
and physical connection. In line with the EU
strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life, the Hub will
offer a virtual space for Jewish individuals to contribute personal stories and
traditions that safeguard and exhibit what Jewish heritage looks like from
different communities across Europe.
The Thrive project is supported by the European Union’s Citizens,
Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program.
