Be’er Sheva aims to attract Nvidia’s new campus to the southern metropolis, highlighting its tech park, AI center, defense industries, and university collaborations to become a global tech hub

Be’er Sheva is intensifying efforts to attract tech giant Nvidia, with Mayor Ruvik Danilovich proposing the southern city as the location for the company’s new campus. Nvidia recently announced plans to establish a campus in Israel, initially considering northern locations.

As part of the city’s outreach, senior Nvidia Israel executives—including Amit Krieg, senior VP and head of headquarters; Gideon Rosenberg, HR VP and legal advisor; and Nati Amsterdam, director of business operations—toured the Be’er Sheva innovation district.

Danilovich, who organized the visit, described the moment as a “historic opportunity to transform Be’er Sheva into a global technology hub.” During the tour, city officials highlighted the relocation of elite IDF units in intelligence and cyber, the new Shiba Negev medical center and adjacent biotech campus, and plans for a national AI development center in partnership with Ben-Gurion University.

The city also showcased its education system, medical centers, defense companies, and philanthropic partnerships.

The tour included presentations on the relocation of defense industries to Be’er Sheva, including Elbit, Elta, and Rafael, as well as the new MIT Urban Laboratory at the entrance to the innovation district. City officials detailed plans for Tech Park buildings 5 and 6, with building 5 slated to open in early 2026.
