Communiqué. Des Sénateurs français en Israël
La venue en Israël d’une délégation officielle de Sénateurs est en soi un évènement exceptionnel, dans la mesure où depuis longtemps aucun groupe de parlementaires français ne s’était rendu en visite dans le pays.
Ce déplacement des Sénateurs Evelyne Renaud-Garabedian, Sophie Briante Guillemont et Jean-Luc Ruelle était à caractère économique, et la Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Israël-France est heureuse d’avoir contribué à son organisation avec l’aide de Business France, de la French Tech, d’Expertise France, des CCE et du Service économique de l’ambassade de France.
Le 14 novembre ces trois Sénateurs des Français de l’Etranger rencontraient à Tel-Aviv en présence de l’Ambassadeur de France Frédéric Journès, une centaine d’acteurs économiques français opérant en Israël, afin de comprendre leurs besoins et voir comment ils pourraient aider à y répondre. Ces échanges, très francs, ont porté sur le manque de statut juridique des EFE, sur la nécessité d’une représentation locale de la BPI, sur l’insuffisance des accords académiques, sur l’absence d’Israël de la Francophonie, etc… Une réunion très fructueuse que tous les participants ont souhaité voir renouveler.

French Senators in Israel
The visit to Israel of an official delegation of Senators is in itself an exceptional event, since for a long time no group of French Parliament Members had come into the country.
This trip of Senators Evelyne Renaud-Garabedian, Sophie Briante Guillemont and Jean-Luc Ruelle was of an economic nature, and the Israel-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry is happy to have contributed to its organization with the help of Business France, of the French Tech, of Expertise France, of the CCE and of the Economic Service of the French embassy.
On November 14, these three Senators of French Citizens Abroad met in Tel Aviv in presence of Ambassador of France Frederic Journes, a hundred French economic actors operating in Israel, in order to understand their needs and see how they could help answer them. These very frank exchanges focused on the lack of legal status of the EFE (French Entrepreneurs Abroad), on the need for local representation of the BPI (Public Bank for Investments), on the insufficiency of academic agreements, on the absence of Israel from the Francophonie(World Union of French Speaking Countries), etc… A very fruitful meeting that all the participants wished to see renewed.
